Well, i couldn't stand it anymore, so I pulled the muffler off the 90 to see how bad it was going to be and I saw a nice looking piston staring back at me! I will have to dig deeper to see what caused this one to be pulled from service. It doesn't want to turn over, but I am sure the bearings could use some lubricant after sitting for so long.

Mark, If it were me. They are both very worthy of repair and making good
runners out of them. To me i see more 90's for sale than 801's. I just picked
up my first 801 and it's a nice saw just a tad smaller than the 90.

I assumed the 90 would be toast talking to the guy I bought it from. I was pleasantly surprised to see a decent piston. I will try to get it running as well.

If the 90 proves to be a no go, the P&C will bolt up to the 801.

I have an 801 and it's got lots of power.

Thanks for the info. I figured they would interchange since the crankcases had the same stamping. Good to know for sure. I think I will make both run though!

Previously the comp was 100. Now 125.

Kustom choke control.

He does not like 3/8" X 20" but it was the only game in town.

That looks like the horn button on a Lada...

Lada is (or was?) a Soviet/Russian car brand that mainly made extremely bad copies of the Fiat 124 - which was a quite bad car to start with.

They sent quite a few out here, they had 1mm steel on them so they were pretty tough apart from that they didn't have much going for them. When the Russian circus came to town they went to the local lada wrecker [I think he was the only one in the country ]and he told them they could have anything they could carry in their arms for $50. They pretty much cleaned him out in a couple of days , it was a win/win for everyone . They couldn't get parts in Russia believe it or not and he couldn't get rid of his parts which is pretty easy to believe.
