No its a great pic thank you d. So it looks like you need a 281 / 288 handlebars and chose to run front mount. So meteor has a single ring and golf makes a double ring, the more economical choices. Can any hybrid style piston be run?

The front handle for 181, 281, 288 is the same. Front mount is you're own choice for feel of the saw. Not integeral to operation of the saw. As far as pistons go, i dont know much. I ordered a meteor for the only top end i've totally rebuilt. Meteor because of info i've gotten here.

OEM or Meteor is all I would use. I used a Meteor in my 288. It's a very strong saw and been run hard with no problems.

Been thinking heavily about the meteor. There is an aftermarket 281 two ring, as well as a golf? Cleaning bore than will tackle that selection. Have heard nothing but good from those who use meteor.
