If you poke a pig with a stick, you irritate the pig. If you use a longer stick, and poke the pig from over here, you still irritate the pig. A long time ago before the previous owner thought he owned rights to any and all mention of chainsaws ,logging or anything related to arboists work it was a fun place .John Lambert (RIP ) AKA Gypo Logger and myself tried to see who could throw out the most insults at one another .It was about a tie game all done in fun .John had more log in names than Carter had little liver pills .Franks Planks,Yukon John etc .Even some where he played a female .It wasn't out of the ordinary to be banned on two or three user names in the course of a week .I only got the bums rush once and gave that site the one finger salute .Never been back never will again .Then of course I don't try to hawk chainsaws or parts over the internet .If I did I could have a couple hundred old boat anchors for trading stock .To each their own though .

I never knew John to insult folks but I guess your experience was different.

One of your analogies from a few months ago, I read was about trying to teach a pig to speak, it never works it only irritates the pig.

Maybe it's just an odd coincidence you have so many analogies on pigs, or you really enjoy pigs, I guess. . . .

Some folks do not understand hogs, cattle, sheep, turkeys, or many of the other animals that they use in references. Having spent a lifetime raising most every meat species of livestock I will tell you none of them are dumb but all have their eccentricities. Throughout history hogs have been one of the most intelligent. Society has forced the breeding of a large portion of their natural intelligence out. It started in the 1970's but culminated during and after the 1997 crash. After that when the industry went to almost entirely ISO 14 day wean pig production the intelligence level of the animal produced decline dramatically.
