Don't forget to plug the impulse line into the barb fitting in the cylinder.


Intake assembled onto the cylinder.


Set it all down as an assembly.


Drop the bolts back in and tighten them in a cross pattern.

Set the Air Injection horn back in place and tighten the screw.


Next you can reinstall the muffler.

Carb kit part number.

Install the needle, pin, and arm...


Lay the gasket in place.

I forgot to get a picture of the diaphragm.


Cover next.


And tighten the screws.

Install the check valve diaphragm.


Here is something different, the 576 carb uses this support plate.


Gasket next.


And the cover plate.

Set the carb in the filter holder assembly, be sure the choke arm is in this slot.


And install the whole kit and caboodle back in the saw, being certain to get the choke back in the groove.


Run the screws back in and pop the A/Vs back into place.


Reinstall the kill wires and the dust boot.

Drop the spacer back on the crank.


Wind the worm gear back in.


Spin the clutch back on.


Grease up the bearing, set it in place...


And drop the clutch drum back on.

Install the rim.


The washer.


And the clip.

A little grease on the pivot points for the chain brake.


The brake flag, band, and linkage all have to set in together.


Set the spring in.


Carefully compress it into place, again, eye protection is a must.


Set the cam back in...

And the detent.


Lay the cover on and install the screws.




Next the pivot screws for the brake flag.

Reinstall the coil and connect all of the wires, a business card works well for setting the air gap.


Spark plug is the typical NGK BPMR7A common to most saws.


Recoil can go back on now.


And so can the bar pad plate.

New A/V mount.


Installed.


New fuel line is always a good idea.


Slide the cable through the dust bellows.


And route the lines through this cutout in the carb floor.

Set the tank back in and install the two mount screws.

Slide the throttle cable through the groove.


Push up and lock it in place.


Pull back on the throttle arm.


Lay the wire in the guide.


Release the throttle arm and the cable will seat into place.

Fuel line hooks to the carb and the vent line routes like so.


New air filter.


Installed.

Slip the front handle back on and install the screws.


Almost there.


Needs a new fuel filter

These plugs for the decompression valve hole in the top cover are a nice touch.

Might could have shown setting the inlet lever height as an important step, otherwise a wonderful job you did here Joe! Great work indeed.
