How to remove ring pins?

Not sure if a standard handheld propane torch would do it or not. I think it would if you held it on it for a few minutes

I've always reached in the back of the ring land with a diamond cuttoff wheel and cut them flush. There is really no way to get a grip on one to pull it out without messing up the piston.

I would guess grind a special set of pliers, grind the sides of the pin rough, heat it to 500F in the oven, and try to pull them out.

Last one I did, I cutoff wheeled a slot underneath the pin and was able to get a enough bite with a screwdriver tip to pry it straight out.
Just be careful not to muck up the bottom edge of the ring land when prying against it.
