HELP! Caber F-Cast Ring Advice

I am in the process of rebuilding a Husky 288XP. I have a good used OEM Cylinder but decided to go with a Meteor piston. The piston I received came with an F-Cast ring. I have read conflicting opinions on these in the past. Some people say don't use them at all because they are too hard. Should I consider purchasing an OEM or Caber non F-Cast ring beore installation? Thanks in advance for the advice.

I've used F-cast rings with no major problems or issues (at least due to the rings). If you're real skittish about it, an OEM ring should only be about $12-14 at most dealers.
