I can get the pads at Advance. I haven't seen those 3M balls anywhere.
Well the balls are convienient and you can find them ill look. Prob still expensive.

That's what I'm talking about. I've used the disks and they don't have enough surface area against the cylinder wall. Those disks are thicker though.

Harbor Freight has the 50mm but they are only like 3/8" thick.
