I got to make some progress with some old yellow iron today! Cleared the trees off a while back and got the stumps out and got it ready for gravel and also graded the .75 mile access road as well with the grader. What does everybody use when cutting stumps off flush? I tried carbide and 3/8 square and round. Wondering if I need a loop of 404?

If ya got the iron, leave 3-4’ of stump and push the whole root ball out.

MS260 is a runner & cutter. [emoji106]

My Clymer repair book showed L & H at 1 for low and 3/4 for high speed mix.

It takes more like 1 1/4 and 1 1/2.

And then the oiler signed off. [emoji90]

Edit: I had the oiler turned down too far. Now it’s too much.[emoji849]

Passed the cold start on choke he did.
To much is better than not enough.

Is the 024 a super?

I don’t think so.

I should pull the jug and try measuring it. Somehow.

Two millimeters might show up with my dial calipers. Get a look at the bearings at any rate.

Filled a cart on Huztl.net came to $91, shipped.

I'm pretty sure this was a grader job.

You forgot to get pics of the grader. This is kinda like taking pictures of trees on the ground, but not getting a pic of the saw(s)!

Anyone using phase converters or VFD for 3 phase equipment? Seems the good deals all have 3 phase motors. I only have single phase electric. Though I was getting 3 phase but they stop just down the street. Looking like cheaper to just get a few converters.

It's pretty easy and cheap to make homemade converters.
Have been on 3 phase since 2006 in my main shop but still use converters in the other shops.
By the time everything is said and done converters are cheaper in the long run. Shoot me a pm if you have questions.

I have used vfd to convert. They work as well. @plcnut can prlly give some better detailed insight. But rotary phase converters might be the cheapest.

How big are the motors that you want to run? What will the motors be powering?
3hp and smaller are simple with a VFD.
5hp can also be done with certain VFD's.
Anything bigger, and it is *probably* better to use a rotary phase converter.
