Yeah, I think it was komet. My dad ran one on one of his karts. It's was a K11 motor. He also ran Yamaha kt100's. Has all kinda of stories on racing and porting those motors. Thanks
I had a neighbor in the late 60s who was into kart racing
I remember he ran Mac engines as well as Komet (Comet?) and I still remember the high pitched scream of tuned pipes and the smell of castor oil
I took one of his carts for a hot lap once and it scared the crap out of me
It felt like a WHOLE LOT of power to me
Only about 10 miles west of Founders Grove on Mattole Rd.It looked a lot like on tree in Founders grove that we seen. Been 7 years since I was there so it’s a little fuzzy.

Asking for a friend...
My father and grandfather owned a shop in Medford. They closed up and sold their inventory in 2009.Did your grandpa have a shop on Highway 199 between Selma and Wilderville? I went down in 2005 and bought two pick up loads of old inventory from a guy there who was a partner in dealership
from 1966 to 1989.
