Have you ever tried a Maxflo filter on any of your saws Mike?

I have one for the 066, but have not used it. I have lots of saws and don't cut every day. If I cut every day with the same saw, I may have a different opinion. The HD-2s work well for me.

Try the Maxflo and the difference in the performance of your saws. A nice experiment for you. If you use just the filter shell, you can use it like an HD2 and use it on your 440, 460, and 660.

Yeah, 2 046 and 660 work well. On 661seems the fines are pulled around the filter rather than through it. The quarter turn doesn't seem to fit tight enough against the carb plate to seal out.

I ran only 2 or 3 tanks through my 661 before ordering the maxflow. Couldn't believe the amount of fines that got under the hd2.

Guys had me so nervous I ordered one before I even ran mine lol. I did try the stock filter and they gave solid advice on the maxflow.

I have one for a 460, bought it on eBay last winter new in packaging for $40 shipped, butt I ain't got around to using it yet.

I might put it into use on my 460 here soon.

Yeah, some seller had 3 of them, I bought one, then thought maybe I outta buy all 3, and went back to the listing 20/30 minutes later, someone else already snagged the other 2.
