More info for anyone who wants it:

Stihl 20" E bar .050 only weights 2lb 4.3 oz and only cost $45, and great deal for the wt.

My 24" Stihl E bar .063 is only 3 lb 0.1 oz, but I don't think they are available any more!!!

My Sugi 28" .063 Light bar is 3 lb 6.5 oz, which for some reason is heavier than your .050 bar. That also makes it about 10.5 oz heavier than my Stihl 28" .063 Light bar.

So it looks like the tsumura is the way to go if it the same weight as the stihl and cost less... How do the hold up is the stihl worth the extra money when it comes to longevity?

all the feedback I have is that the tsumura is close to or on par with cannon as far as longevity....so quite a bit longer than Stihl or Oregon.
I like my tsumura, just wish they used a 5 or 6 rivet tip instead of a 4 rivet. Seems like a weak point if bore cutting a lot... although mine hasn’t failed yet.

Why do you feel the need for more tip rivets? It adds weight.
If you were to pinch the bar tip limbing or bore cutting a lot, I don’t see it being stronger than a 5-6 rivet. I doubt it adds much weight honestly... I’ll take the durability. Could one possibly be able to swap on a 5-6 rivet tip?

I am sure the engineers looked into it. What Tsumura provides is probably strong enough. If not they would be replacing bar tips left and right.

Never understood why some bars have 4 or 5 or 6 nose sprocket rivets. Never got a good answer from any of the manufacturers.

The larger, older tips have more rivets. The smaller tips, designed to reduce kickback, have less rivets. For performance, I think the larger tip has a slight advantage.
