If you were to pinch the bar tip limbing or bore cutting a lot, I don’t see it being stronger than a 5-6 rivet. I doubt it adds much weight honestly... I’ll take the durability. Could one possibly be able to swap on a 5-6 rivet tip?
Bit late answering this, but yes, you can swap out a current 4-rivet to an old 6-rivet tip, at least for the 3/8 and .325 non-narrow-nose bars I have.

Great comparison of the weight/balance difference of the different length bars. I’m curious as to how much weight will be added to the saw with the west coast style cover and dogs as well as a Arctic Wrap handle (generator included) which would be how I would want the saw outfitted.

Yes. Thank you sir. I would mind owning either of them.
Thanks for taking the time to weigh these out for us.

I dunno if anyone's added this? It's a Stihl Rollomatic E laminated 25 inch bar. I bought two of these for a single Benjamin and the dealer was out. This is my last living one. They do actually take a beating, too.

And here it is in better days - I think on one of Terry's saws I picked up back in 2011 or so:

I got 2 of them, both still in good shape, and we used one for the 77 cc saw competition at the NY GTG (see page 40).

I like that they have the wider "yellow" bar tips, the 20" have the narrower "green" bar tips.

Yeah, I noticed when I took the pic of the part # that there was still a bit of yellow marked on the tail. Sprocket still feels solid on it, too. And this bar has not had an easy life.
