I remember back a while @fordf150 ( Nate) had posted a neat thread about fuel line substitutes. Some of the older saws are NLA fuel lines. looking for alternatives/substitutes...also any tricks for replacements would be great. Currently I'm looking for a Husky 395 Fuel line substitute. any good suggestions ?( other then GFY...)

I use the black 5mm(I think) stihl fuel line in huskys and like it over the husky grey crap that has always got a hole in it.

Yes I have roles of stihl line bought from a dealor.

There's 3 husky dealors by me and together they have zero parts so I use as much stihl stuff aside can only because I can get it.

I've switched over to echo oem black rubber line on stihls I just cut the grommets off and force the echo line through them I bought every size and use them on weedeaters and leafblowers too I had several bad experiences with tygon and while the stihl line is great it's pricey.

I bought 10 hemostats off the bay for 7 or 8 bucks time and being aggravated savers make sure to get some angled ones too if you get any they're handy as could be.

I have used the echo fuel line in my 262 and 268 and had no problems, real nice line at a great price.

I bought 5 Farmertec/Huztl curled fuel lines which I thought were supposed to work on my Husky 50 and 576xp. But they're too big at .235 OD (6mm). My saws use .210 OD line. I tried one and it was too tight. Normally I use Tygon .211 OD x .117 ID line and it works great and seals perfectly.

I have 4 lines that are 11.5" in length. Anyone want to trade for some Tygon .211?

I use Echo in almost everything now, on a-lot of Husqvarnas they used a fuel line with a grommet molded into it, but a tank grommet from a 455 can be used with Echo line in place of that. That is what I have done on all of my 2xx saws that called for a molded line.
