My 500VL still has the original intake. Went through a complete teardown a couple years back and it was still in good condition, amazingly enough.

Looking at 16" chains for a CS 352 and I find 57 and 56 DL listed , will the stock bar take both 57 or 56 DL chain .
Is enough adjustment for that
Manual says 57 , saw not in my hands yet

I think 57 is fairly common for the bars that comes with an Echo. The bar that comes with the saw should have the dl count on it.

I think stock bar is Oregon Pro-Lite, so yes, 56 or 57 DL will work.

Thanks guys
Some of the research I did shows that it is a double guard 91 bar, anyway I thought sure I was going to have to get another chain right away because I thought it would come with a Vanguard chain but it didn't it's a 91PX

Grabbed this poor ugly 6700 up today cheap. Guy claims its scored, but pulls over like tons of compression.
I'll pull the muffler later

Latest project...... Not my saw just working on it for a collector. Plugs, fuel line & filter and carb kit......runs like a CHAMP!!!
First tome I've ever seen a twin!!! Interesting saw and a wonderful exhaust note!! I thing the owner will be quite happy!!

one of my favorite suppliers of echo and other parts is:

partstree dot com

incidentally, for the 330/360t you can buy a short block for a reasonable price. it's a clamshell engine, so the cylinder and top of the case are one casting. the bottom of the case is just a small piece of metal. the part number for the short block, item 1 below, Echo SB1086. The price is around $180 but you get a new crank, bearings and seals.
Doesn't take long to swap.

Working on the CS-60 Super today. Going over the oil pump system. Unique. Lots of plumbing.

Overall impressive saw in terms of build/quality for a 50 year old design.

Good to know. Long time no talk how's it going with you duke. Did you toast a motor?

i'm mostly working on smaller saws for local hombres getting ready to cut firewood. the only thing close to a toast job is a husky 340. it ran great when it came in, after i replaced the broken, ethanol damaged fuel line. then i found out that the guy before me had screwed up the oil tank by using non-standard bar studs. the whole side of the case was distorted and wouldn't oil. i found a new plastic "crankcase" and swapped everything over. the ring looked a bit worn but it had good compression when i took it apart. when i put it back together it had 30psi. first time that's happened to me. i ordered a 50cc kit from hutzl, should be here in a week or so. could have bought the same saw on ebay for less but now everything will be new, might last another 15 years if it doesn't get straight gassed or left with fuel in it all winter.

'zup with you?
