Every saw I do tunes around 1 on the low and 1 on the high. I don't tune rich on the low and I tune the high where the saw wants to run. I don't check rpm often but there usually around 14500
Looks like u have really taken the 066/660 to the next level!! Congrats man!! Whats your prediction with the 661?

Well I was planning on getting my 066 machined with the OEM piston, but if I am going to all the effort of chasing someone with a lathe to help with the work, I may as well invest in a 288 piston as well.

Any comments on the Meteor 288 piston?
I doubt husky parts are and better price wise than Stihl parts here in the lucky country.

Don't know, hopefully it runs better than stock.
They do indeed run decent stock ..... I remember Randy's first run at the 661 and it needed a little R&D but once figured out it got the ball rolling

Old would be the first word you use !!

I'm still thinking that there is more in mine ........ I've got the intake, exhaust, base, piston, lower, and squish nailed ........ But there is more in the upper transferrs
There's always more kev. It's deciding it's good enough that's hard for me.
