I could be wrong but the way I see it, it would be the amount of open area below the rings at top dead center.

The big bore has a larger jug, but if the Aftermarket transfers are small you wouldn't be gaining much volume. Cuz even though you have a larger bore. You still have a larger piston which would decrease volume.
Depending on the skirt length and a few other variables

I wasn't sayin your wrong, just that not sure it had more volume. You very well could be right! Might make a helleva runner out of a BB

It was only really a thought.
To prove the theory, we would need to fill the case with both 54 and 56mm P&C's fitted with water at TDC and weigh them.

Now.... back to Turbo's and Superchargers..........

I have a decent running big bore actually, 395 piston and all.

I got a saw to build for it but I gotta get some time to do it. I'm waist deep in saws right now.

Yes Im interested to see where Jason goes with a quad . He sure has 2 ports nailed!
