Had sheep/lambs for the last 25 years with no problems. saw a few dead yotes on the interstate when we came back from Randy's GTG. The wife thought the first one we saw was a german shepard.

I'll take yotes over wolves. They have not moved quite as far south as me yet, but people I know and trust have trail cam pics of them about 40 miles north of me.
At least I'm allowed to shoot the yotes.

Should be perfect weather. Jealous. I don't think I will be getting out again during archery season.

Ours closes the 17th for our 9 day firearm. Then muzzleloader, then archery again until new year.
But, once the orange army of drunken idiots hit the woods, the deer pretty much dig themselves a hole and live in it.
Wisconsin rifle season. Suddenly everyone is Rambo.

29 here now. Supposed to get snow tonight. 10 degrees tomorrow morning
Switched to a different stand this afternoon. All after dark, but the scrape behind the tree in center has been hit regularly.

I had 3 does farting around in that brush and pines in the pic above for over an hour today.
You think one of those bastids would lure in a buck or at least come 15 yards closer and give me a shot? Nope.
I guess see if we get this snow and if winds right, going to hit this stand again tomorrow morning.

Some rattling, maybe mix in some grunts and bleats, but I swear the deer here have taken a vow of silency.
The only time I ever hear a deer grunt or make any noise is when a buck is trailing a hot doe.

Hunting for meat. Was hoping for a sloppy doe.

But I took this one as he was saying take me.

My brother passed on a nicer 8 night before. He hunts racks. If we hadnt switched areas to hunt I would have busted him.

Then one friend shot same night.

    bro passed
    mine that morning
    pic I took
    friends he rack hunts

Weather guy was partially correct. Got the snow. 24 degrees vs. 10. Which im ok with.

    20181109_064645.jpg

Had 3 does, probably same 3 as last night wander through behind me at 100 yards or so. Theres a small, thick stand of hemlock over there they like to bed in or near.

The rest of today might be last last bow outing for the year, my seems to think I have other stuff to do this weekend, and rifle opens next saturday.

So i switched to a stand on the north end of my property because its friday and the idjit neighbor kids never miss a friday of coming home from school and revving the snot out of their quads, all while never getting out of second gear.
Climb up, hang my pack, put on my seat cushion and as im pulling up my bow, there stands a small 8 point where im pointing.
