@srcarr52 I marked the leading edge of the magnet on both flywheels and put a piston stop in the cylinder. I was just trying to see if there was a difference between the OEM and the Farmmac cranks.

First real cuts with the Neotec 372. It ran pretty good in that hard seasoned oak. The guy at our local sawmill said he's got fresher oak for me, I just need to get up with him.

Runs as good as any 372xp I've ever seen!

Nice! I cut some white-oak last week in a similar state of seasoned. Standing for years hung up. Right into the stove, no fuss. Lot of folks look at the outside and think it's rotten and punky, they don't look at the grain. Minimal loss of BTUs.20240403_173125.jpg20240403_173101.jpg

Runs strong
Neotec replaced the cylinder kit on mine with a 39.00 mtlano jobbie.

Since seeing @Maintenance Chief's 372 with a big bore I decided to give a big bore a try. I took a chance and ordered 5 because the pics in the ad looked good, one of them just showed up and it looks as good as the pics. I'll post the timing numbers and squish how it came out of the box in a few. I also made a new mandrel out of 2 pieces of scrap rod screwed together and a new block to cut the squish.

What brand is the cylinder? Or is it a white box cylinder?

If anything I'm not usually referred to as a good example! Lol
It is crazy that, although I understand porting techniques and timing I didn't do much more than a "woods port " on that cylinder. It performs extremely well despite the abuse I throw at it.
I frequently let the young staff at work use it and they love it!

Hope it doesn't cost you too much. How's that g395 doing? I think I want one.

Haven't even cut with it I've been running the orange 288 a lot it's been flawless other than the decomp leaking.
It really is a nice saw and easily oem power i have a few oem 288s
Whenever i get time it's getting a ported cylinder and 066 piston.

Beautiful Lion you have there. Hopefully he's ok. Our four legged companions have only one huge disadvantage which is too short lifetime. I should have taken an other dog when my dog was 6-7yrs. It would be easier to cope when the time comes if I would still have at least one furry friend.
