Well the Farmmac/Neotec cylinder bit the dust. I'm not sure what happened, I ran a tank through it and it was running very good, then I pulled the muffler to see how the piston was looking... It was tuned rich so maybe it got to hot from the timing advance, cylinder or the piston out of round, what ever it was I'm not going to use that cylinder again.

Ouch! That's too bad. Hopefully they will send you another P&C

I have two i haven't even started that have what i consider severe piston damage
By far the worst topends I've ever seen.
The rest of the saws appear to be fine
And the same components as holzfforma in a lot of them.

I ported that cylinder so I doubt they would send me a new one. It's just something to play around with so it don't matter, I have some more cylinders I can put on it.
That happened on the last Farmertec cylinder I had too....The nikoasil could be peeled off with my fingernail....didn't notice it until I started grinding on ports ..oh well. At least they're cheap.

Pulled my orange holzfforma 288 down
Very nice looking cylinder
It's a strong runner but i have a ported cylinder and a 066 piston for it.

So ive got a couple Holz 372xp running 24" GB bars and they both seem to really struggle to oil them...is this typical of Holz's 372s? i have the oilers cranked all the open (counterclockwise right?) and they both hardly leave a spray on the ground and seem to puddle oil on the bars right at the dogs...

Ive pulled the bars off and the oil holes seem to line up ok?

@Czed Disregard what I said about the timing being way retarded, maybe it was on the guys saw in the video but I just did a check on my Farmmac and there was 2.2mm differance on the outside of the flywheel, not a lot. The orange saw has an OEM crank and the dirty flywheel is the OEM one. It could be just the molded in key on the OEM one vs the Farmmack that uses key stock.

Are you marking the leading edge of the coil at TDC?
