I am not trying to start another oil argument but simply asking about using Saber. I have used it for years with no issues but not at 100 to 1. I normally used it at 75:1. I have recently been been using Red Armor at 45:1 with great results. Idling, running, and smoke was always better with Saber but after researching more I am wondering if the bearings were getting enough lube. Any thoughts on potential long term impacts with both?

Thanks!

I’ve run 75:1 in stock 562xp

modified 390xp and 500i get 40:1, no issues but I am enjoying 40:1 and would probably run it in my 562 if I still had it

Ive seen saber run for a looooong time at 80:1, but i wouldnt run that ration in my saws especially modified. As these guys said, figure out a ratio that works and fukkin send it.
I don't care what anyone runs
But my friend makes bank on
Rebuilding boat engines guy's run 100/1 in.

The little ms170 does not behave at 40 to 1.
Pain keeping more than one fuel mix.
That saw will get sold at some point.
Not a dog, just a pup.

I tried 40:1 royal purple and got an alarming amount of carbon in my ms261 & MMWS ms462.
The 462 fouled a plug in 5 tanks.
I run them at least 3/4 throttle with not much idle time.
I switched to Echo brand at 50:1 and recalibrated both saws. Not enough run time to inspect plugs yet.

Chainsaws have 3 speeds, off, idle and full throttle in the cut. But it's not my saw.

Agree 100% but running full throttle with a ported saw that bumps the rev limit super easily is tricky.
I guess the trick is to push on it more and take the rakers down.
