I seen this post is almost 5 years old. Anyone come across a different filter for the HD kit that has better flow?

I have one done, just need to cnc them. It uses a k&n with the black filter sock. It's designed for the HD filter housing.

You should post up some pictures when you get one assembled. The HD cover still fits over the K&N filter?

You gotta trim the top cover just a wee bit. 20180531_154523.jpg 20180531_153151.jpg 20180531_153200.jpg 20180531_153209.jpg

What do You want?
Longer service life, better filtration, or higher airflow?

FFS, just go with a fine white nylon AF and be done with it!

Can't run a velocity stack on any of those filters.

Do You have a CNC program You would share?
CAM/CAD or G-code?
I have access to CNC mills, might play with this.

No, I don't have a single HD AF setup for my saws!

Hahahah no. But you can buy one when I make them.
Chainsaw operators and their kinks!

Is that like wearing nylons and high heels when you run a saw?

I personally will never need one, but thank You and GLWS! :)

And yes, that's about what human kinks are about.

Speeds up airflow
Speed up airflow to counteract the HD AF inlet elbow restriction? o_O
Flat top AF is good enough for me. ;)

I really love the AF setup on the PS-550 & PS-6100.
I would love to graft those filters onto the 64xx/73xx/79xx units. :eusa_dance:

What’s the part number for that K&N filter? I tried using the number B020A4 from the top of it from the pictures but didn’t have any luck.

OK, I looked it up.
Wasn't there supposed to be an OEM velocity stack featuring HD AF setup introduced?
Something like an upgrade to the original HD AF?

I made my own Uni foam filter, I honestly think more people will lean toward using that vs k&n.

I need to run both back to back.

I just don't dedicate a lot of time to saw stuff...
