Piston and cylinder aren’t showing any signs of being hot on the busted fin side. Run it! I’d give the cases a good once over inspection for cracks, she took a hit. Wouldn’t use that cylinder for milling.

I suspect that cylinder would be just fine. However, I'd rather put my time and labor into porting one that is right, if you can get one for the right price. Let me know if you need help shipping one.

You can work it like a rented mule and not hurt a thing with that many broken fins.

One thing not mentioned yet is your average temps? If you are working in the 50° F then the cylinder is not going to be as hot as 50° C
