I recently purchased this 562. I tore it down for a little port work and noticed the piston is different.
Is this a new thing or am I out of loop.

What do you think the logic is behind it?That's a new thing as I understand it.
Trying to prolong bearing life by lightening the piston and lowering compressionWhat do you think the logic is behind it?
I could see it trying to keep the combustion more centered downward on the piston but idk

I know I’m a couple days late, but is this like a pop up piston. Or did they just take metal out of the middle.I recently purchased this 562. I tore it down for a little port work and noticed the piston is different.
