346xp tank vent

Does the white plastic piece with the gauze in it just push down in that hole?? or is there a tube??

Put some tiny o rings on the white piece and push it in???


Had a hose attached to it, not sure how its supposed to stay in if that is what goes in the hole??

The tank vent does have a hose that attaches to it and goes up through the carb floor to the carb.The vent pushes into the tank is all.

mine does not have hose on it and it runs fine but this is where it goes

I have one 346 that has a white tank vent and the a little plastic nipple next to it that has a return from primer and my other just has white vent

I have modded the tank vent on mine as well as a 357 which is the same.Heres a pic used the bailing wire to push it all out and then discarded the 2 pieces on the right.Then just push the gray looking cork back in.Also put a hole angled down in the tank in behind where the vent fits in recess.

Ok, thanks. Trying to put a 357 intake on the 346, this should help.

Any other tips??? The 357 doesn't have a nipple on the air filter / carb plastic connector.

So drill the angled hole where the white plastic piece pushes in, push white (after gutting) piece in with nipple pointing out , then hook up a hose. Since no nipple on 357, just leave end of hose in carb box???

What size drill bit!! 1/8"??

1/8" is fine. Just make sure the vent will cover it

If I remember right I drilled one on an angle beside the original hole.
