Was your fitment similar to mine here?
very similar.
one of my stuffed 353-s is somewhere in Estonia, working hard i hope, or not... :D
but mine needs more power(there is never enough)...
if i get some time on this summer, i have an pop-up piston for my "stuffed-goose" to but it in.....and make some "basemilling-timing-port-job" on it. (just like with the power, there is never enough time)

The plastic is molded to the metal cup. It only came off because I sanded it down. I could re-use it, but if I'm going to take up clearance I'd rather use something else I think. When I mentioned using it on the PTO side I meant like this.

I'm leery of filling in between the counterweights and cup because I don't want to screw up the balance of the crank.

When single piston engines are balanced, almost always they add weight to the crank to get what they need. My guess is you’d be closer to balance than stock. But either way, it’s really a non issue.

Got the parts. Assembled the crank today, I should be able to assemble the case tomorrow when I can get the kitchen to myself:eusa_whistle:. Stuffers are both tight to the counterweights. I'll get some pics of the clearance in the case half.

More on the why I did its later, but for now let me say the Golf 44.3 pistons are *s-word. The rod clearance difference is not an optical illusion. This is what happens when I don't follow the "no AM junk" rule...

On the right is the original 42mm piston. Let the ball busting commence. I'll be on Ebay picking up a Meteor...

Thanks Brett. I only have the lightly massaged 2147 and 350 at home to run it with. I'm not certain if you'll allow it on the property once you see it though:D. I'm taking steps to make it extra ugly...
Anytime.
it will be fine as long as it's just passing through .

Man this sub-forum is dead! Piston won't be here until Thur so it ain't getting done until the weekend. Thought I'd throw up some cylinder pics. I got this as a freebie from another member thrown in with some other stuff I bought. Someone tried to clean it up and grind on it but when I got it it had a couple shallow scratches, some transfer, and said "75psi" on it. I bought the Golf for if I ever used it. That was last year. I cleaned it up and tried to clean up and bevel the ports. If the timing was changed it wasn't much. I figured it would be good for a project like this. If it tanks I've got some other options.

I've got a 199 for it but no filter neck.
