2065 Xmas build

I decided to build one of my favorites. 365 special top end on a jonsered bottom end.

Hmm. Bolt on intake. Open port cylinder.

It's mostly done now. Just have to paint a muffler after opening the inlet. I'll upload more pictures shortly. Time to pick up the little one from preschool.

I had uninterrupted time. The thread was actual time as it was happening.

What I started with on the muffler. These sound good and kill some of that high pitch that the 365/372 usually has. I'll get pictures of the after when I get back home.

All that work to find out the decomp hole is stripped. Be looking for a tap and a plug.

Helicoil kit and a plug is hopefully going to fix it.

They run real close to the 372s at half the price. Keith's was faster than the last 372 and a lot faster than all my 70cc stihls

Got it fixed up. No more decomp to worry about. The Chinese plug was a bit too small and stripped the threads. Be careful if you use them.

These short days suck. It probably needed time to set up anyway. I wanted to start it right away but figured I should wait til tomorrow. Going to take it and a 385 and cut some elm the next few days

Yeah I hate daylight savings time. Just leave it alone would be better.

Cut .054" off the base and no gasket. I didn't measure how much I cut from the chamber. I just check it until squish is what I want.

It's a quad port. I wanted a little higher exhaust but I figured I could try it there first.

So a 2065 is open port. What about 2165? Difference between 365 and 365 special?

24" a lot of the time. I put a 20" on it for now.

2065 has both open and closed port. The 365 special is closed port.
