That might be my only feasible option. Even if I do find the bearing, it will probably be the same price as a full crank. I won’t be putting a 090 top side on. I was told they had over heating issues with the 090 top on the gear models. I’ll be just fine with the o7o top side.

Not sure if you saw my message, looked after for the part number you wanted.
It is available however the price by Stihl is 380€.
If interested you can pm me so i can detail you.

I don’t sell saws, just wanna help

I’m assuming that it’s 380.00 euros. That is $428.75. A little more then it’s worth to me.

I know I have two of those split bearings. The two 090’s I tore apart both had them. Be hard to part with knowing how hard they are to come by.

How does your crank look? Any damage from the bearing letting go? How about the rod?

It looks good. Really it is just three little pieces of the cage itself that cane off and got caught in the piston skirt and wiped out the rings. In a pinch I could use the old one, but I don’t trust it.

That would be great. Is there something I can get you in return?

Yeah, I re-read the problem, my link will not be any help. can you get the dimensions of the bearing installed, inner diameter, outer diameter, and width?

The cage is what’s messed up. Randy and I talked about doing that. Just filling up the cavity with needles like the 009 is. Makes a guy wonder if that would be better in the long run. More needles to support load.

There is a difference between the cranks, posted it a year of 2 ago on the other site.

It depends on year of build and it was something with the crankbearings.

Do You have the correct parts nr for de conrod bearing? Than i wil look where You can order it in Europe.

I know that they sell remplacement conrods with normal 1 piece bearing.

Update

I got all the parts I was looking for from randy and frank. Thanks guys. Started assembly this afternoon. Had a total moment of stupidity. Got the crank in, piston on, cylinder on and I ever pressure and vac tested. Thought all was good until I went to put the clutch and gear drive together. I put the damn crank in backwards. Damn it!! Reset the crank proper and re assembled. Pressure test again and it was time for dinner.

I threw that bar on today and spun up a 3/8 chain for her to wear. 35” of cutting reach. Nobody around us sells or much less knows what .404 is, so I’ll have to order some. Nice think about roller noses. Any pitch fits.
