Long story short. I got a pail o’ parts 090g that was was torn down and no obvious reason why the saw quit working. Upon deeper diagnosis, I found out the cage that holds the needles in the crank main bearing broke a piece off and damaged the rings and piston.

When my local dealership was unable to locate any parts, Randy the mastermind was able to get me all that I needed accept that bearing.

Anyone got an oem split needle bearing for the Connecting rod to crankshaft.

From what ive heard the china cranks are better steel than old oem ones

Either crank should fit.

That is an early one, both of mine are pre-79 and have the newer crank, I am not sure I would trust that rod if it ate the bearing. I would vote for a newer replacement. Are you going to put an 090 top end on her?

That might be my only feasible option. Even if I do find the bearing, it will probably be the same price as a full crank. I won’t be putting a 090 top side on. I was told they had over heating issues with the 090 top on the gear models. I’ll be just fine with the o7o top side.
