    SELLING SCARR ported Husqvarna 262XP

I built this saw last year with new bearings, piston and anything else that needed replaced. I've probably run less than 5 tanks through it. I also did a build thread on it. https://opeforum.com/threads/lets-build-a-husqvarna-262xp-scarr-style.28481/ It has the larger HDA87 carb on it which is...

Welding save of a cracked 064 case

This 064 case half had a bad day with a case splitter which ended up cracking the cylinder mounting flange. Luckily it was only cracked in the vertical and the piece could be bent back limiting the amount of the gasket surface that needed to be welded.

    Restoring Stained White Plastics

I ran accross a YT video of someone using this 40V peroxide hair cream to remove stains in some white plastics and I thought it would be great on some old Stihl 064 plastics I have for a full restoration. You just paint this stuff on and let it sit in direct sunlight. Reapply till you see the...

Lets build a Husqvarna 262XP, SCARR style!

Since I received a 262 cylinder and carb in the fundraiser a little while back I decided to pull this 262 project out of the moth balls. Sorry, no tear down pictures. There wasn't much to see but the pound of grease and sawdust it left on my bench. So we'll start here with the clean case and...

    Kit saw recommendation for teaching

A friends son is interested in modifying engines I figured a kit saw would be a great opportunity to teach him the basics of a 2 stroke porting. He is the son of a mechanic so he’s pretty versed in wrenching just not modification. They have a stihl saw or two so I’ll stick to the clones of them...

SOLD Foredom Right Angle (RA) Handpieces 1/8 shank burrs

Guys, I have 5 of these RA's I had shipping in for Chitown and modified. If you haven't seen these before they only come with a 3mm collet which no one wants. Also the back cap is slightly too small ID to fit on a true Foredom sheath, they'll fit the knock off ones stock. I remedied these...

    Spark plug weld repair.

Here is a video of how I repair spark plug thread via welding them shut and shooting a new hole. I tried to capture most of the process, with consideration on the length of the video I had to cut out a bunch of my rambling with more tidbits. Feel free to ask questions.

The SCARR Husqvarna 592XP build thread.

I'll be messing around with this 592 when I have the time. The plan is to test it in stages and when it's all done it will head to Joes for a dyno run.

SOLD SCARR ported Stihl 046 3/4 wrap

I recently built an 046 for myself but I haven't started it since I tested it. I don't cut much anymore and I'll grab my Huskies when I do because I'm a brand slut, so no sense it rotting on a shelf. I pieced this saw together completely from parts so here the best to my recollection rundown of...

Small right angle (RA) porting handpieces for Foredom motors.

I made these NSK dental contra angle head adapters. I have 7 to sell, depending on how popular they are I may make more. They use a 3/32" shaft latch burr so I'm selling them as a kit with a modified SE-53 carbide burr and a ~100 grit football shaped diamond for finishing. I've tried many...

    Broken mixture needle removal.

Someone on this forum asked if I could do something for this old HDA with a broken off HS needle. First step was to disassemble so I could flush out the flammables. Next to the tig bench to weld a nut to it... hope it works! A little shot of penetrating fluid and careful turning... I...

CC 182MC right angle handpiece, installing new bearings.

My main CC Specialties 182MC was getting a little wobbly and was having more chatter than it used to. I figured I'd get it rebuilt. I about had a stroke when @Mastermind told me the cost of a rebuild but he mentioned Kevin @huskihl had put new bearings in them before. The bearings are a...

Better spikes on the Husky 550 MK2

A while ago I figured out the Jonsered 2260 or the Husqvarna 560 (small mount 562’s) West Coast spikes could be made to fit on the 550 MK1. The outer would bolt right up after drilling the partially there holes in the side cover and the inner just took a little slotting of one bolt hole. I...
