Just drill out the hole to M6 if an insert for M5 .It looks like the cylinder bolts might be inserts also .There's tricks to inserts besides using "time -serts .Clean the hole out with acetone and use red Loctite. they won't back out .It takes around 400 degrees of heat to release them .

Stihl and a few others used those blunt end type screws for high impact plastic parts .People have made grave mistakes like using a common wood /sheet metal screw which eventually drove the point through the oil tanks, crankcases . Fact I've had a few welded up to repair them because of this .
