Keep this going, I have a mystery saw in the garage and I don't know if it's an 024 024s or an 026. So incase I have the shorter stroke 024 be nice if there was a way to make it work.
If you do get a bearing cap make sure it's threaded for the fine threaded bolts and not the coarse threaded one if you can. @Mattyo has some good videos you can watch.
You are correct it's a 16002 c3 I just picked this one up from my local bearing dealer. Is the same price as oem but I like the fact that it has a metal cage.
Thank God for stihls lowered piston prices ordered a 44mm piston from my dealer. It's gonna cost $33 plus tax. Can't beat that. Hopefully it will be here before the end of the week.
What are the proper pressures and vacuums when testing saws? I have an 028 on my bench that I tried to pull 15inhg and it would bleed down to 10inhg and stay there. Is this ok or was i asking for too much? I left it set for 10 or so minutes and came back and it bleed down to 8inhg. I did rotate...
