Getting hard to find anything OEM that is any good , not sure if there is any rubber hose out there that might sub .

I saw Stihl throw out rolls of that and tons of other parts when it was obsolete :roto2palm:

The rear handle rubber is a real pain in the arse on those old rear muffler models. I dip the whole handle in boiling water for a minute and it warms the rubber to be soft enough to make it very easy. I might suggest wooden chopsticks to wrestle the piece over the throttle lock or you'll chip all the paint off.

I squirted Windex® on the aluminum tube, taped one end of the rubber to an air nozzle, and worked that baby on there with the help of the wife. We had it on in a couple of minutes.

Would the wraps on a zero turn mower handle work if it was the right size?

I found some at a car show/ swap meet. I think it was 2 6' peices for $7. Someone at a flea market may tent selling that kind of stuff.

Heat shrink tubing comes in different ratios, so good to get the larger diameter with a high ratio like 3:1 or 4:1 because when it shrinks it becomes thicker.
