Intro: These saws keep derailing Dave's 365/372 Chinese thread, so I thought they ought to have their own. This isn't a step by step build thread like Joe, Steve and others do. Just a place where we can share and catalog all the info we have to help members building project saws on this chassis. These are really fun and easy to work on saws. Unlike the 372 chassis that saw few changes over it's model run, there are a TON of variations that took place during this chassis model run, so there's plenty of stuff to keep tract of. And there's more differences between the Husky and Jonsered models as well. What fits, what doesn't. What's available, what's NLA. What aftermarket parts are available to help keep project costs down. (how about $97 for an OM 272 top cover vs $5 for the Farmertec? lol) Which are good and what should be avoided. OK, so let's have some fun with this.
To start off I tried to find something on @taplinhill question from last night on 630/670 top handles. The handles from the early twin coil saws do have a different part number than the later single coil handle. The two 630's in the pic should be all original. Nothing I can really see there, but I'll get around to measuring them and see what's up.
