I was going to respond but you guys have all the angles covered. I ordered a complete huztl 365 and had the same thing happened with case. They had run the saw before I received it and had cut a grove. That’s another reason why I like to build the saws my self. I can see measure , and or file or grind or cut, tweak to make it work smooth before starting saw. Then you can avoid having self maching, causing damage symptoms. Which can make a mess of things quickly.

Check that all the rubber is in place and in good condition and that all the holes and slots are properly lining up and nothing is plugged. A little wood chip can ruin you.

I'll ask this question because most of the time know buddy asked what size bar and chain are you using?? because I've never had a problem running a 32" bar and I've ran a 36" still not a problem that's with AM and OEM pump's on the 660s.

I use one of these stihl wrenches to tighten the flywheel nut. Never use any power tools.

Torqe wrench set at 30 to 35 FP and a little bit of of lock tight is all I ever use I've seen people brake OEM crankshafts do to not torqing the flywheels correctly. But there can always be that one bad crank in the bunch.

I feel like the nut or the threads on the crank would go before you torqued it enough to break the crankshaft.

You would think so but it's just best to torqe things the right way if possible.

Just did my first two trees of the year. And did a fair amount of bucking with the 660. Was a little worried as my saws are run on ethanol blend pump gas and sit out on the porch (covered by a roof but open to the winter air) all winter. But it popped on the second pull, I flipped the choke lever and started first pull and idled like a champ. The two trunks were both locust one 16" and the other 24" by the second cut the saw was warm and really spittin chips....made few dozen cuts and ran through a tank of gas, saw started first pull every time after the initial start up and ran flawlessly.

With a bar that big you'll need to get a high output pump or mod the stalk one even then you still might have to stop while you're cutting and dump oil on it that's way bigger bar than what that saw was ment for you should be running that bar on a ms880. That's just my two cents.lol
