An arborist friend gave me a pile of saws for fixing his 084, 066, and 034s. One of those saws is a decent 036 pro that leaked oil. I fixed the oil leak and got it running this winter and set it aside because of other projects at the time. I went out tonight to tear it down and give it a proper cleaning and thought while I'm in there, I'd spice it up a bit.
I already have an 034 super that has been smoothed out, but it's just got a gasket delete. Im happy with my gains, but I'd like to take the 036 a bit further. I've taken .030" off the base, and set the squish to .020". I can go more if needed.
Will fingers work well in this saw? Or clip the lowers and widen and raise the uppers? Widen exhaust and intake? What say ye? Fire away
