I have a nice 036 Pro that is one of my go-to saws and the tank sprung a leak. Must have taken a hit during the move from VA to TX, and it's cracked.

I really don't want to put a Chinese tank on this saw, but that's what I'm seeing available, and most with flippy caps, too.

Anyone know where I can find a nice used one or a new one? Should be part number 1125 350 0818.

Thanks, Scott

I may have a used one but with a saw looking that nice I'd probably go with a OEM flippy cap tank.

I haven't checked at a dealer but the only flippy cap tanks that I've seen have been Chinese reproductions.

Got a pic of the crack?

Thats such a nice saw, and has the tank label on it. I‘d attempt a repair w epoxy and/or plastic welding.

You know your stuff, so I am assuming the leak is in an area that’s nor amenable to a repair. Was just wondering.

It's a spiderweb type of crack, branching out from the point of impact. It's something that I could plastic weld, but I'll try to source an MS360 tank first.

Thanks

That saw makes my 034s look like rat rods.
For it I would want new-ish also.

Yeah, I had a nice 036 Pro a few years ago that I rebuilt, bg delete, ported, and advanced the timing. Sold it with No Reserve on eBay and it didn't bring nearly what I thought it would. Still kicking myself for that. Have been in the market for one ever since then. The one I have now came out of Colorado, IIRC; it was pricey, but worth it.

This probably will not help in your situation ?
But I had a pin hole on the underside of a 200t tank. I'm not sure how it got there. Anyhow I filled it with a cheap really runny superglue, and it seems to be holding up.

Btw I did empty the tank and leave it open for a while & then repeatedly sprayed the hole with brake cleaner before using superglue.

It just may help you as a cheap fix till you find the right tank your looking for .
