Broken bones, tearing ACL, stitches in various places. Nothing hurt anywhere near as much as losing a fingertip. Lotsa nerves in them thar fingertips ;-).
Wishing Shemane good luck with the adjustments and getting back to doing everything that was important pre-injury. Everyone is different but if I could tender any advice its to cut yourself a bit of slack when, not if, you drop things when you forget there isn't quite as much finger there as there used to be. Perhaps I'm just a slow learner, but it took me about a year before the brain rewired itself to that fact.

I was thinking a screw socket. Then she could have options like a hookeroon, maul, small mind you, the options would be endless.

Yeah, I’m not too sure how happy she would be if we showed up at the house with a pair of vice grips, a cordless drill, a tap/die set and asked if we could see her finger for a minute

Probably would see what she looked like with a left handed pistolie [emoji16]

Luckily, at her age, the brain will adapt. I have seen several craftsman work seamlessly missing more than she is missing.

Please, don't anyone think my comment is diminishing the seriousness of what happened to her, just that I believe she will learn to seamlessly work around it.

She will either learn to pull the trigger with a different part of the finger, or use the next finger. Either way, it will work.

The construction guy who used to live next door went most of his life w/o a thumb. I knew him for a long time before I realized, it did not stop him from doing anything.

I have no doubt there will continue to be well aimed projectiles on unsuspecting game.... foreign or domestic. [emoji16]

That 4 and 3/4 will still out work your Old Mans 10.

Nailed it....

I talked to her on the phone the other night and I made it clear to her that I feel she could whoop her dad's azz.....

What a great young lady she is, she kept telling me how grateful she was for our help. And I told her to stop thanking us, we're grateful to have to helped her.

@leadfarmer I told her we was probably coming down sometime the next few weeks and I'm buying her dinner and a beer, she said "you don't have to do that". I said she's getting it anyway....
