I’m happy that someone has a good use for it, I ran 25:1 ........... CRAP !!!
Why have I not had a failure?

Like... None....

I got a 562 with ass loads of hours on it!!??

There's something else going on.

I let a saw sit in the barn for a week, started corroding the piston.

Only oil that’s ever done that.

All my saws hang in the barn.

Scored my backpack blower too .......

When mixxed with VP SEF ......It SUCKS

I’m happy that you’re getting good results Matt, you must have dry air or something. If it was evaporation, I’d think that other oils would have had problems too. Maybe it’s your fuel thats helping it ?

I use it for assembly lube and it makes good porting lube for the burrs ........

Now the ultimate question:

Did they change the recipe?

How the hell is an average mook supposed to know that *s-word..??

I got a theory on some of this extreme boutique oil of my own. That's why I don't use it.

But it has its place I'd bet. I just don't need it with what I do.

I've used gallons of it..

Never a failure.. Thin, yes, but the 562 likes that.
Idk about all this rust talk..
If yer saw is rusting, it needs used more often.

I do like to run a little extra oil, that's why I like cheap and thin.
I used quite a bit of it myself. Changed over to a case of the cheapest husqvarna low smoke. Everything looks very nice. I don’t pull stuff apart to look at it but had a carb issue on one saw and my muffler clanks loose on a 272 I really like. I wouldn’t bs ya possum. I did finish my last quart of it but I was running a heck of a lot of oil just to rid myself of it. I’m 100 percent with you on cheap oil. I’ve used bike oils and all that jazz but I’m right back to air cooled. I very well may buy s case of the dolmar from eBay as it’s as cheap as I’ve seen. The only oil I’ve ever had any problem with was the Lucas.
When you say extra. How much extra you use?

I dig 32:1 as well. Just didn’t seem to lube anything. Lost rod bearing. Saw was pretty fast 346. I’d go 25:1 on work saws with that there Lucas snake oil

Maybe use what works for you is the best option? So many variables with stuff it’s not even funny.
