20170825_192214.jpg Got the second 288 finished my small part's came today.
Waiting on a piston and wristpin bearing to arrive then i will finish the third 288.
Just tuned in wood today after a couple of heat cycles.
I'm old that's how I've always broke an engine in.

Looks good. I heat cycle new top ends too, feels criminal to do anything else.
First hit then wide open for up to a minute.
That's what I've seen guy's do lol

I let mine idle for about 15 seconds, then half throttle for about 45 seconds, idle for 15 shut down let it cool then repeat but substitute 1/2 throttle for full in wood.

Question for you 288 pro’s: can a 281 be used on a 288? I assume it will bolt up but is it a smaller carb?
