You're saw looks much like mine with the plastic boot ring.
The huztls are metal .
Mine were clearly misspelled but i have seen a few like you'res.
Where they tried to fool people.
I never have and leave the incorrectly spelled badge's on mine lol
Are you going to upgrade to a 372 topend.
It really wake's those saw's up.View attachment 77049

hey, at leas it appears they actually riveted yours.

I have so many irons in the fire at this point, and this is the furthest from the fire. Maybe I will do something with it some day, maybe I will just flog it

Noticed the compression was getting soft.
It's dropped around 15 pound's since i built it with the 268 cut down piston.
Compared against a new 1.5 268/37220170709_170328.jpg 20170709_170100.jpg 20170709_163556.jpg caber ring it has been losing tension.
Pics might not be clear but the caber is much larger.
My new gauge sucks lol20170709_163032.jpg

Piston is fine i wiped the carbon off.
Everything was coated nicely with ra.20170709_165421.jpg 20170709_165307.jpg 20170709_165129.jpg 20170709_164957.jpg 20170709_164518.jpg
No scuffs or streaks in the cylinder
That's the original straw colored wrist pin bearing that was in the saw.
I've got oem bearings on order.

20170709_161646.jpg 20170709_164159.jpg I was having a problem with this filter i put on.
It's the wrong type i know
I was waiting on a husky style to arrive.
After awhile it was starving the saw it doesn't flow enough.
I fixed it and ripped a bunch of blocks down.20170709_160007.jpg

Forgot to mention it was the huztl ring.
In this application it wouldn't have lasted like other huztls I've used.
I've got a three year old 257 husky build that's still got good compression.
And several other saw's that are still doing great with the china rings.

Planning on popups if that doesn't work out with the guy making them.20170709_204942.jpg i'm going to cut the 268 pistons down more.
To eliminate the base gasket i'm happy with how they run just trying for more compression.

Thanks guys, can get a farmertec one here for less than £20 so I think I'll go that route, not that bothered in modding the carb, quite happy with a muffler mod and base delete atm. With a 268 piston in the pipeline. Thanks I will try one. TBH I have had no problems with any farmertec parts I have ever had.

Cheers guys, have a good day!
Did it work for you.
I'm trying to find a 385 carb to to try out.

Still hasn't arrived... But on a positive side a found the major leak on the carb. It was leaking out of the small 'choke shaft' return spring hole that is in the main casting.. It was leaking air in, altering the revs ever so slightly from cut to cut. A bit of jb weld down the hole and then a re drill seemed to work a treat. The saw is running like new again.. I shall still swap in the china carb just to test it, then throw the walbro back in. Just wanna see if it is a viable option for a spare part now :)

I would really like to learn more about the 92cc version. I would think it's a 390 copy, and if so I would like to get one eventually.
