I might just buy a new tank. They ain't crazy expensive. I've been using this tractor for a year and a half at least, I didn't notice the sediments in the bowl till I was changing the filters. Some yahoo painted the bowl. I'll be watching it now.
Had to google that model (1120), you still have the Massey too?

I was told a quart of auto transmission fluid in the fuel once in a while keeps the injectors clean . Must be the detergents in it ,i know if get it on my greasy hands it cleans them up .Not sure if would dissolve rust chunks though .

I'm gonna try that. I don't think any chunks made it thru the filters, but it was still enough to pollute them.

I sure do Duane. It needs some work now. It's getting fuel in the oil. Also, the hydraulics are getting weak.

I have seen guys dump vinegar into rusty tanks and leave a few days ,the acid in the vinegar kills rust and makes clean metal ,you need to neutralize it after with baking soda and water or it will rust again though .You do have to fill the tank to the top ,or the air gap section will rust doing this ,can cut the vinegar with water 50-50 also to save on cost ,seal up any openings also ,like fill neck with tape to keep the air out as much as possible .

Oofff

Where you headed with it? And why only .012

It's got plenty of compression. But, it has a cast squish band that is low at the edge. To increase squish velocity I just flattened the band at the edge. Then cut the base to set the clearance.

I'll be going here....

Intake: 78
Exhaust: 101
Transfers: 125

I'll also be drilling the seat in the carb out to .035"

I tend to sneek out on the numbers I end up with for each model. Since this saw came out I've never done any two the exact same way. But........I'm set on this method. Here's a video of the last one.
