Well.......I had a heck of a time deciding what saw to build. I wanted to do an 036, but ain't got a top quality jug. So.....I thought about doing a 562XP....but they are pretty common. Then I thought about the Poulan 3750. Uncommon these days, but not a real fast saw.

So.........I've finally narrowed it down to one of these two.

I'm gonna service the tractor, then I'll be at the lathe the rest of the day.....and into the night. Seven of these are just machine work for my friend Terry Landrum. We help each other out a lot. Tennessee boys baby !!!!!!!

The muffler on this saw is a lot of the work. Check out this contraption.

That tube fits into the exhaust port.

This is a nice feature on these saws. Helps protect the case from chain damage.

See these partitions in the air filter and base? Open that mess up.



Now, this is one of the reasons I think the 6100 runs so well. It has the largest carb on any 60cc strato saw I've seen.

The jug is bolted on from the bottom.......up thru the case. Weird huh? That allows room for the reed block on the strato ports.

Dolmar = Smart.

The aftermarket ain't the only ones that have crappy bevels. I have seen this on every brand I've worked on at one time or another.
