Fǔck that stuff. Last time i was on that my innards wanted to jump outta my body and run away and my mind just raced but i didn’t know about what. It was like if you stuck your head out, the window of a race car with random thoughts flying by. Weird stuff
I've paid thousands of dollars to feel like that !!!!

Same here. Took that stuff for one cycle( 6 or 7 days) and swore never again. Made me really angry all day every day till a couple days after the cycle ended.

Evening boys. Let me just say prednisone is a damn miracle drug!!! After a few weeks of suffering with this friggin gout I finally went to the doctor. One dose has just about wiped out the swelling. Can’t believe I waited this long…dumbâss

I’ve had all that stuff and handled it ok. Prednisone and Sudafed take me on a wild ride. I took Sudafed once when i was sick and it literally stuck my ass to the couch. Sweating profusely, heart racing, mind all over the place, etc. I thought for sure I was having heart attack or stroke, but was too fücked up to even call for my wife tell her it was going on. This went on for about 12 hours during the night.

Never again.

When I was in the hospital they was giving me 60 to 80mg of oxycodone a day I was watching stuff climb the wall and hearing music that wasn’t being played

I believe that

I broke my pelvis in 2010, and was on a high dose of opiate painkillers prior to surgery. I was in skeletal traction for 3 days before I went under the knife. I woke up around 2am in the hospital room one night, to the floral pattern on the wall telling me "You are safe here, this is the woods, not the jungle..."

I forget the total dose I was on, but between the morphine, oxy, and whatever else they were giving me for anxiety, it was an interesting ride I'd not care to repeat

Prednisone. Dead set that's the meds they give kids here to calm asthma attacks. Daughter can breath better, but gives her mega energy doses. Like awake in to the small hours having been in the ED for several hours already type energy.

That reminds me, I need to ask @redline4 Ed how to change my wife’s Chevy TPS from KPA to PSI.

I’ve never had prednisone for a flair up, when it was really bad my Doc gave me some stuff that did the trick but it didn’t agree with the rest of me. Now I take 300mg of Allopurinal daily and haven’t had a flair up in years.
I’m really hoping I don’t have to go on any maintenance drugs.

Yeah this *s-word has me pinging. Up at 2:30 now I’m trying to decide whether to attempt to go back to sleep or head out to the shop.

The maintenance drugs are easier for me than the strict diet, especially as a celiac, sometimes the only thing on the menu you can eat is the steak…

As @Kiwioilboiler said I’ve mostly know prednisone to be used for Asthma type incidents, my dad used it when his COPD flared up. The stuff they gave me when my gout flared up was indomethacin.

Adam, you should work with medical professionals to make sure your daughter is using something other than preds. As a high performance athlete I am certain it’s on the WADA no fly list for her. Won’t matter now, but in 3 or 4 years when she’s playing internationals it might. Best to modify the routine now.
