Nothing cheap about building a small block mopar. They are pretty resilient, though. I would pull it, slap all new bearings in it, run some Marvel through the oil pump, soak the lifters for 2-3 days in Marvel then engine oil, slap a good NON-STOCK i take on it and let the boy run it. You could toss a cam in it as well, but truck heads weren’t know for their flow. If you want to have some fun find some 340 heads and cam. I wish i had kept all my spares and extras from my hard lessons with small block mopars.
He's got an old 360 Ford big block Buck.

I hear a 360 Mopar with 318 heads makes a good running motor.

Trans is good.

Can't disagree with the minivan deal. Always said no way I'd ever own one but the wife had a grand caravan here when she was driving for the school that was pretty damn nice.

I really don't mind them at all. In HS I would snag the van and it was like you were invisible to the cops. Plus it had plenty of room for some flat back fugging.

A lot of time on mine, other than a sticky throttle on mine, what's wrong
Yeaterday amend of the day it started acting like it had a broken clutch spring. Engine pulled down a little at idle and the chain was running like it had a broke clutch spring. Tried to pull the drum off, tried, I couldn't even get it off with chanel locks. After it sat about 2 hours I could take the drum off no problem. There isnt a broken spring. Should mention when you spun the drum by hand when it was still on the saw you could hear the piston going up and down as well as feel the clutch and everything turning with the drum?

Should mention the saw is like 3 weeks old, probably 10 to 15 gallons minimum of fuel through it.

Sounds like she got hot, being it's under warranty I'd be making a trip to the dealer. There has to be a problem with that clutch/drum. How'd the drum look on the inside?
