I hear ya on Stihl's greed. I've been somewhat partial to them, but never been brand specific. What I can say is this, Stihl makes their good and bad saws like everyone else. They spend a ton in marketing and dealer networking. Now if they spent a 1/2 ton in QC they would be tip dog and unstoppable.

Hmmm.... my comment wasn't intended to turn this into a brand war fellers. My comment was ment to "clue in" folks who don't know that a ported 7900 dolkita will run just as gooder as a ported 500i, but for a lot less money. Let's not muddy the mans four sail thread with a brand x vs. Brand y pissing match. At least not until the saw sails anyway.

I can’t stand that 12.8k coil either. The 13.5k one makes it a little easier.
