Classic Croatian maul vs. my Dragon Slayer ax.
Old folk swears on never sharpening a mauls blade, sounds counterproductive to me.



I gave the maul a couple swings, it does its thing through brute weight, no splitting sophistication whatsoever.

I ended up grabbing an Ox head spalt fix 1250g 70cm for about $70 delivered. Very excited to try it out.

Light and short but will be easier with the easier splitting stuff and smaller logs
