I said it before.... all 372s are not created equal. If you could find a nos XP (not a XT), that is what I would buy. I have 3 of them.
If you can't find the XP, I agree with the 461... or even a 7910.
Call Steve at wood cutters garage He'll give you a hell of deal on a 2188! He's a good guy to deal with and will bend over backwards to help a guy outThe 2188 is a good saw no doubt. Mastermind nailed it. The strato motor is what I was talking about. I am a jred and husky guy though. I was told about this bearing failure from a guy that runs Jred. It was non biased.
Did anybody see a fair battle between a ported 2188 and a ported 461?

Back to your original question - Terry Landrum is a great guy. He builds a mean MS361. I assume his other models are as well. RonI am considering buying a saw from wickedwoodsaws, I'm debating on either a stock cs2188 or a ported cs2172. I want a saw that has crazy power, but don't want the weight. He has a 90 day warranty on the ported saws. I'm a little skeptical on that I guess. Normally the saws have a two year warranty. For that amount of money though I would think I would get a little better than 90 days. But I understand its ported/modded. Has anybody ran one of his saws? How was your experience? I want everybody's input if possible.
Ah, the unicorn. I've heard of it, hell, have even daydreamed about it, but I've never actually seen it, so I'm not sure it's real.
John Reilly has more 681 videos on youtube than anyone.
Oh, I've owned one for quite a while now Steven, just haven't ever laid hands on it. Sometimes you have to think things through before you tell a hillbilly saw hack to take his time, I failed to do that.
