What's under the hood of that 1206?
It's still a base 407 engine with quite a few home made parts-timing gears, lifters, pistons. A lot of head work, descent size turbo=4.1" P-pump=class rule limit. It's only 441 CI, more cubes is in the works, longer billet rods and deck plate to go with the more cubes

That's impressive... I'll give you the official 'atta boy' for keeping the 407. Don't see many without the 400 series.

Nope you sure don't! We love those motors to that's why we kept with it. You should see people's faces when we tell them it's still a 407. 400 series guys take it worse than anybody getting best by it. All we ever heard was you can't pull that motor, won't be competitive and won't stay together, it's fun proving them wrong!

How many RPM can you get from those motors?

1206 is one of my favorites since I got to drive a brand new one in 1968. Easy to spot with the white fenders and grill.

Our pump only runs 6800, we are there at the whole and it runs 5000-6000 down the track. Yea they are my favorite tractor to, we have 3 of them. Are you sure it was 1968? That would of been a 1256 in 1968

My bad the 1206 was a 1966. But I did get to run it in '68. I still may have a picture of a 15 yr. old kid with a huge smile on his face driving this thing! It had more than double horsepower of my Dad's largest tractor and it had a radio on it too.

With a high stress job I need a lot of time and various activities to decompress: shooting, gunsmithing, hunting, fishing, metalworking, Jeep off roading, radio control stuff, baking bread from scratch ...
