What is the best way to clean a file

Round files r cheap I just pitch them and move on I use copper on the higher priced ones

Hallo. Many good suggestions in this thread. Has any one tried ultra sonic cleaner on Square files. Or would it work. I Will try the Cooper cleaning and a few more.

Flat mill bastard files we used to run them backwards on a soft piece of wood, while filing formica.Takes 2 seconds and cleans very well.
