I have someone wants to trade them for wood. 2 saws I am not familar with what realistically can be sold for without having to wait a year for the right person. Supposed to be in good running condition and was told the 260 still looks good. So what do they usually bring ? Thanks...

PP220 PP260 same saws cc wise. 42cc

Great little saws that will blow away the stihl homeowner saws in same cc range JMO.
Coil spring AV.

Only drawback is they sell for $50-$75 tops. Ready to go with b+c

This one I sold for $75 and thats tops IMO

Taking in trade $20-$40 IMO $50 max

009 you couldnt give me.

The PP260 is a "Rodney Dangerfield" saw as @Spike60 would put it. They actually run pretty well IMHO. Is it a ported 346, no, but it is a whole lot more affordable and "will put wood in the truck."

I'm not sure about a Poulan 260 but I do know the Stihl 024 doesn't sell well at all on 'the bay. I'm gonna have to get mine out and see what's wrong with them..

PP 260 is the 1 in JON1212 post .
I now own both Nice clean 260 used little, traded it for 1 $60 4'x8'x16" face cord. Started 2 or 3 pulls cold cut good, I took it out afterward cut about 1/2 face cord of wood with out any disappointments. It doesn't feel as strong and peppy as my muffler modded 025 or handle as good but its comfortable enough, vibration wasn't noticeable either. I may just as well use it a while if I can't get $75. for it. If I leave it out or on back my truck its less likely to be stolen and not a very big loss for me. OO9 started right up, idled and run good but was so dull barely cut. I think I'll put a 12" bar and chain on it and see how it feels as a beater top handle, may be sell it later if I don't like it to much.
Nice fellow 63 years old brought them over said he is getting weak from cancer, taking chemo. Asked what I had for small saws, showed him an Efco 3700 I had that is an small easy starter and he traded the 009 for the 3700 w/ an extra new chain.
Thanks for all the replies .

I noticed a lot of Stihl small and mid size 0 series look to be not bringing the $'s they were not to awful long ago on ebay. It seems like on Craigslist most are being advertised pretty high still.

I wonder how the PP260 would do with a mild muffler mod, and retune? I bet it would pick up some "pep".

I muff modded my old one and then gave it to my uncle. It's a snotty little 40cc saw. Its also pretty light for the power.
